A day at Hebamio: A look behind the scenes with Claudia

Hi, I'm Claudia, 31 years young and have been working at Hebamio since fall 2020. As part of the Business Development team, I would like to give you an insight into my day-to-day work at the leading midwifery software that offers midwives support in their demanding profession.

My area of responsibility at Hebamio

As Business Development Manager, I am responsible for, among other things:

  • Market analysis and competition monitoring
  • Development of new business strategies
  • Identification of partnerships and cooperation opportunities
  • Optimization of internal processes
  • Trade fair planning and support
  • Customer care and acquisition

My desk is colorful, creative and not always perfectly tidy - true to the motto: "It's not a mess, it's just creative living!"

Morning routine: e-mail management and customer inquiries

It's 06:50 and the alarm clock rings. My day starts with a fragrant coffee, because a little caffeine is allowed in the morning. After my daily dose of treats for my cat, I jet off to the Hebamio headquarters in my little runabout. I can cover the distance in 10 minutes - if I've been dawdling too long again, I can do it in 8 minutes. 🤫

I start my computer at 8 a.m. on the dot. My email inbox greets me with a friendly "Ping!" and a flood of messages that have piled up over the weekend. I start checking emails and tickets, creating a list of priorities in my head. For example, there's a request from a midwife who needs help integrating our software into her practice - this goes straight to the top of my to-do list. As I process the requests, I pay attention to recurring topics. Are certain questions piling up? This could be an indication of potential for improvement - information that I later share with our development team.

A glance at my calendar reminds me that I can still send out documents for a collaboration. So off to the warehouse! There I put together 15 bags with brochures, notepads, pens and a few goodies!

Customer service and cooperation: Support for midwives

A trip to the coffee machine is a must before I get back to the tickets. A sponsorship request for a midwifery school has arrived, which of course always makes us very happy. Such requests are always a highlight for us at Hebamio! They not only give us the opportunity to strengthen our brand, but also to make an active contribution to the training of future midwives.

At Hebamio, we are always open to creative ideas, exciting collaborations and innovative projects. It's not just about selling our software, but about building real partnerships that create added value for the entire midwifery community. Of course, I immediately put together a comprehensive information package. With a satisfied smile, I click on "Send". No matter the outcome of this particular request, I know that we at Hebamio are always willing to go the extra mile to support and improve midwifery education and practice.

Midwifery team lunch

Now it's getting tricky: The colleague asks where we are ordering lunch today. A crisis meeting is called at short notice, as almost all restaurants are closed today. 😱 We finally agree on our favorite restaurant, where we actually order on the same day almost every week.

The morning flies by and we are already sitting at the lunch table talking about our great experiences from the weekend. Our well-known turkey strip salad tastes particularly good.

Creative collaboration: newsletter planning and distribution

On the way back to the desk, we pass the coffee machine again - one more to go! ☕

Another newsletter is due, which is why we have arranged to meet on our cozy thinker couch to brainstorm. Together, we always come up with the best ideas on how we can give midwives even more support. The topics are quickly decided - now it's time to implement them. I write the texts and take particular care to strike the right tone - informative but not too technical, friendly and personal but professional. Each section is carefully formulated to offer our readers the greatest possible added value . In the meantime, my colleague prepares beautiful graphics so that we end up with an appealing newsletter. Together we proofread again, fine-tune the wording and optimize the layout.

Quickly send a test newsletter to the boss for final approval, check all links and call-to-actions one last time and the newsletter can be sent to our many great contacts.

After work at Hebamio: a fulfilling working day

As soon as the newsletter is sent out, it's time for me to go home too. I smile as I think about how varied and exciting my work at Hebamio is - from customer support to partnerships and product development. Every day brings new opportunities to give midwives support in their everyday lives so that they can focus on what really matters.

But let's get going, the cat is already eagerly awaiting the bonus round of treats - after all, there has to be satisfaction at home too!
