Founder story

1 Challenges

Hebamio was founded because freelance midwife Birgit Söllradl was unable to find suitable software for her documentation and billing. Instead of working efficiently, she had to resort to paper and Excel spreadsheets, which took up a lot of time and distracted her from caring for mothers and newborns.

2 Solutions

The solution came from her husband's software, who had already developed a program for order management. Birgit recognized the potential for an adapted version for midwives. This resulted in the first version of Hebamio in 2015, which made her day-to-day work much easier.

3 Development

Thanks to the interest of other midwives and continuous feedback, Hebamio has been continuously improved.

Hebamio stands for a revolution in the midwifery profession by simplifying administrative tasks and thus creating more time for the actual, valuable work: caring for women and families.

Our founders

Birgit and Gerhard Söllradl have been a couple for more than 20 years, not only professionally but also privately. They live in beautiful Kremsmünster in Upper Austria with their three children.
His passion is IT and hers is midwifery. That's a powerful combination for Hebamio.
